Nearly 135 days after Russell Martin's first press conference as Rangers head coach, his replacement Danny Rohl faced reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.
The magnitude of the task ahead of him is well known, given his predecessor's turbulent and disappointing four-month tenure.
The former Wednesday manager was joined by club chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized duo of sporting director Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart.
However, what exactly was revealed from the 36-year-old coach's first public appearance as the club's manager?
Rohl's Main Priority - Victory is Everything
One thing emerged clearly from Rohl's initial presentation before the Scottish media - he recognizes the need to win matches, and do so quickly.
His predecessor Martin managed just 17 matches and four months in charge, so the inquiry emerged about how long the new man thinks is reasonable to turn around the underperforming squad.
Although deftly sidestepping a direct answer that could bring later expectations, the coach's communication was very evident.
"Hopefully as soon as possible," he said. "This is crucial.
"In football you have not much opportunity. One can talk about long-term vision but we know it's about immediate results and that period is about winning games. That is my requirement.
"One thing is also clear - I require every squad member to understand our intended to perform. I come back to my primary theme: victory comes first, it's attractive and it's together. If you follow this order, I'm convinced that I will remain very long here."
Expectations are Standard
The previous manager needed security protection to leave the Falkirk Stadium after his final match as manager.
We've seen how toxic environments can become at football clubs when results are poor. Protests have almost become an expected aspect of the matchday experience on both sides of Glasgow these days.
As the club's most youthful ever head coach, the question was posed about which attributes Rohl believes he possesses that would enable him to handle, let alone excel, in among the highest-pressure positions in British football?
"I think pressure in football are standard," he commented. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I believe some people might mention my youth but I have been a decade and a half on this path. I had an excellent chance to be at the German club and serve as only an assistant coach, but I experienced what it means to be a head coach and the demands you face.
"You begin getting results and then certain people will say you need to produce entertaining soccer. That becomes the stage but precisely my intention. I relish that challenge and I look forward about the future."
Thelwell Explains Chermiti Signing & Hiring Family Member
The media pack had numerous inquiries from the media directed at Thelwell.
Significant attention has concerned the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with fans unconvinced about his qualifications for the role.
Nevertheless, he defended and clarified the choice to recruit his son to Ibrox.
"It remains awkward to listen and in appearance I think we all agreed when we made this step to hire him that he would be viewed negatively," Thelwell said.
"The reality of circumstances is that we want to bring the very best players here.
"My view on his professional path and background is he required no my assistance in soccer.
"He served at Aston Villa as head scout, he then joined Norwich as head of scouting and then got promoted to development role.
"Before we hiring him, two Premier League teams wanted to sign him. Our approach right at the beginning of proceedings was consult with Patrick, the chairman and deputy chairman Paraag Marathe about this matter.
"I remained extremely transparent and I believe he likely experienced a more rigorous process than any other who's employed by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to be successful for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him proving that he's going to be an excellent employee for Rangers."
Thelwell also defended the signing of forward Chermiti, who arrived at the club for a reported initial fee of £8m, after failing to score in 24 games for Everton.
It was Thelwell who brought the Portuguese young international to Liverpool from Sporting - again for large funds in a £15m transfer.
He was asked if he supports his expensive signing, who is yet to score in seven matches for the club.
"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell answered. "I think the striker represents who's possesses huge potential.
"I've never questioned him whatsoever. Similarly, I think Danny will assist in maximize the potential out of Youssef.
"It's very early days for the young player, he's a young talent and naturally with inexperienced players they occasionally take time.
"But I'm certain throughout of his time at the club he's going to prove that he is highly capable footballer."
The CEO Understands Fan Disappointment and Anger
Stewart was also facing firing line, given the criticism that has been aimed his way by certain of the club's own supporters.
Additionally, there was a banner in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent tie with Dundee United inviting Stewart - and the sporting director - to depart before they were packed for him.
Like his football director, Stewart didn't avoid the topic.
"I completely appreciate the frustration and anger that the supporters are experiencing because results recently haven't met good enough and no one is happy with those," he stated.
"The pain and frustration they feel is mirrored within the leadership.
"Also understand that there has to be an outlet for that dissatisfaction and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as focal point for those and my role as a
